The 2026 America’s Mountain Festival Songwriter’s Competition invites emerging and established artists to share their original music in one of Colorado’s most inspiring settings—Woodland Park at the base of Pikes Peak.

Join the SONGWRITER'S COMPETITION

Exciting new addition to the festival

The activity celebrates creativity, storytelling, and the power of live performance, giving songwriters the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of fans, industry professionals, and fellow artists. 

Be a new and emerging artists

With the chance to gain recognition, connect with a growing music community, and be part of a signature festival experience, this competition is set to become a highlight of AMF 2026.

Who should apply?

The competition is open to songwriters of all experience levels who are passionate about original music and live performance. Whether you're an emerging artist looking for your first big break or a seasoned performer ready to showcase new material, if you have a story to tell and a song to share, we invite you to apply.

Location details

Date: Saturday, May 9, 2026

Where: Tava House | River Room

Time: 6-8:30pm

No walk-ins, must have registered. 

Limited to 10 contestants. Wait list will be started once we reach limit.

Contest Information

Taking 10 entries for 2026. This will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis. When we are full, we will start a wait-list. You will be contacted by the next business day to confirm entry. Time slot will be TBD, but we will have the full schedule published and available by the middle of April.


  • MUST register using the QR code. No walk-ins will be accepted.
  • Two (2) ORIGINAL songs per artist
  • One (1) side / lead or harmony player on stage permitted
  • No full bands for 2026.
  • We will have plug-ins available and microphones
  • Judges will be from various industries
  • Bring your family/friends, crowd participation is always a PLUS!
  • Enjoy food and drinks at the Tava Tap House
  • No cover charge
  • All ages welcome


The winner will be added to the line-up and open the 2026 America's Mountain Festival with a 30-minute acoustic performance. You will receive two (2) Artist Passes and 4 GA passes for the festival. If you have merchandise, you will have the ability to sell on site day of festival
